This Privacy Policy describes how StrayDots handles your information.

The Gist

StrayDots is built for privacy. We are not in the business of selling data. For now, when I say "we" in this document, I mean me. This is a personal project and I treat your data with the same respect I treat my own.

I will try to remember to remove this we/me distinction if I expand the project to include more developers but for now, it's just me.

What We Collect

  • Account Information: If you sign up, we collect your email address and a persistent ID to authenticate you.
  • Journal Entries: The text you write is stored effectively in our database so you can read it later.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the service to you.
  • That's it. We don't train AI on your thoughts, we don't sell your data to advertisers, and we don't share it with third parties.
  • In the future, we may enable AI and analytics features, but you will have to explicitly opt-in to this. You will never have to opt-out of features that use your data outside of strictly displaying it to you.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in a Supabase database.

Your Rights

You own your data. If you want to delete your account and all associated entries, you can do so at any time.
